If you or a loved one has found yourself without health insurance benefits because of COVID-19’s far-reaching economic impacts, then this message is for you.
Connect for Health Colorado has opened an emergency special enrollment period for families or individuals whose jobs have been or will be impacted by COVID-19. Monument Health is proud to be involved in this offering.
Please don’t delay securing benefits. Coverage for those who sign-up will begin on April 1, but the deadline to enroll is Friday, April 3, 2020.
We understand why you might feel overwhelmed hearing this new news during this uncertain time, but there are resources available to help you.
Hilltop Community Resources through their Health Access Office has a team ready to assist you. They can help you determine your eligibility and walk you through the application process. Don’t hesitate to reach out to them at 970.244.0850 or HilltopHealthAccess.org.
Connect for Health Colorado also has enrollment centers in Western Colorado. Although they are not allowing walk-ins due to heightened social distancing during this time, you can locate the closest center near you on this interactive map and call-in to schedule a virtual appointment.
Another great way to get informed about all your options is to contact a local health insurance broker. While we work with several of the area’s insurance brokers and highly recommend all of them, there are simply too many to mention by name.
Last, if you need guidance from Monument Health’s Wellness Warriors, we are here to help. Although we are not an insurance company, we are a team of local professionals who bring together doctors, hospitals, and insurance companies to achieve better outcomes at a lower cost for our members. Our team in Grand Junction can be reached at 970.683.5630.
Thanks to statewide leadership and Coloradans who are committed to helping one another, our state and communities have been nimble and responsive during this uncertain time in our history, and Monument Health is proud to be #DoingOurPartCO.
