Chris Walker

Population Health Fellow

Chris Walker is a native of Colorado’s western slope. After graduation from Grand Junction High School, Chris joined the US Army where he served a tour in Baghdad, Iraq in Operation Iraqi Freedom. After his military service, Chris attended Colorado Mesa University completing a Bachelor’s of Science (Biology) and a Bachelors of Arts (English Literature). While attending CMU, Chris participated in guided and independent research, acted as an officer for the Biology, Fish and Wildlife Club and the Graduate Education in Medical Sciences (GEMS) Club, and conducted student teaching practicums. After graduating from CMU, Chris was drawn to resource management, taking a position with Bureau of Land Management as a Biological Field Technician. This affinity for resource management follows Chris to his current role with Monument Health.
