2023 has proven to be an exciting year for Monument Health as we continue to grow and expand our payer, employer, and provider partnerships. When I joined Monument Health in 2021, we served almost 20,000 members. It is amazing to reflect on what this team has built since then in terms of our data and analytics capabilities, growth of important partnerships, and maturation of clinical programming. Today, Monument Health is the largest CIN in western Colorado serving 75,000 members. We are getting closer to our vision of providing value-based care for everyone in western Colorado.
We kicked off 2023 with the exciting announcement that Monument Health joined a Medicare Shared Saving Program (MSSP) serving a multi-state region across Colorado, Wyoming and Montana with approvals from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS). Operating under the name, Rocky Mountain Accountable Health Network, we are currently serving 27,000 Medicare beneficiaries across the region. About 5,000 of those beneficiaries are from western Colorado, primarily Delta and Mesa Counties. The Rocky Mountain Accountable Health Network is dedicated to serving diverse populations across the west working collaboratively with independent providers and rural hospitals to improve healthcare outcomes in their respective communities.
We also finalized an exciting new partnership with Cigna Healthcare, which aims to provide whole-person healthcare to Cigna’s Medicare Advantage (MA) beneficiaries in both Mesa and Delta Counties. This partnership will result in Cigna’s MA members receiving high-quality, population health management from the Care Coordinators at Monument Health and across our large network of providers. We are thrilled to add a well-known and trusted insurance partner such as Cigna to our network and come alongside them to help them better manage the health of their beneficiaries.
In addition to our new partnerships, Monument Health has focused on internal capacity building. We are preparing for a re-launch of our employee wellness platform, GoodLife Wellness Solutions, later this year. We are excited to continue to swim upstream on prevention and focus on wellness and wellbeing efforts with our partners. We have onboarded several new team members to Monument Health to support the buildout of more clinical programs, data and analytics support, and care coordination. And, not insignificantly, Monument Health has added several new specialists to our network over these past several months. We are incredibly excited about our new partners and are invigorated by their enthusiasm at being at the table when we talk about how to best promote value-based care in our community.
I want to take a moment to thank all of our partners and the work you do every day to improve healthcare in western Colorado. We are so pleased to play a role in this important work.
Yours in Health,
Ashley Thurow
