We are excited to highlight three students from Colorado Mesa University who are joining the organization for summer internships. Each student is interested in different areas of business and we aim to contribute towards their learning and experience throughout this opportunity. Our team is already working closely with these students as we continue building our relationship with the university and our future workforce.
Samuel Adamson, Healthcare IT Intern
A recent transfer from the University of Colorado Boulder, Samuel came to Colorado Mesa University because it’s more economical and he grew up here, graduating from Grand Junction High School. He’s currently a sophomore at CMU and is majoring in electrical and computer engineering with a minor in computer science. Samuel wants to work in a field that helps people and will be working as an IT intern this summer. In addition to his vast computer knowledge, Samuel also is a competitive powerlifter and personal trainer.
Jennifer Cook, Business Operations Intern
Jennifer comes to us from Rifle, CO and originally intended on going to nursing school. After realizing that blood may not be her thing, she transitioned to a business analytics major. She is excited to work at Monument Health because it combines her interest in healthcare and business. As a senior, Jennifer wants to learn about all aspects of running a business and spends her spare time practicing axe throwing.
Rhett Cook, Clinical Operations Intern
A senior at Colorado Mesa University, Rhett came to Grand Junction from southern California. Rhett is on the university soccer team and is majoring in political science with a minor in communications. He intends to pursue law school and practice malpractice law after passing the bar exam. During his internship with Monument Health, Rhett will serve on our clinical operations team and help assist with one-on-one member outreach over the phone because of his excellent people and communication skills.
